More creepy Buffalo Wizards drawings!
This time featuring Lord Nisovin, who appears to have stumbled into some horrific creature when getting up for a late night snack. Why does he carry his staff when he’s getting snacks? WHO KNOWS?
Diaries of a Handmaiden
Sketches of Spyd’s mansion design, Tobben admiring the jungle, Torn Star in the library, and myself. In order.
Villains beware, the world’s fastest superhero returns with an ALL NEW EPISODE Tuesday at 8/7c!
I had to practice of course! The only thing I was born with was a strong passion for art, which made me practice more constantly and get better. :)
best way I’ve seen to explain this
Do you enjoy playing with others on the Lords of Minecraft server? Do you and a bunch of your buddies like the interaction of everyone else in the town of Dong Dank (or Home, or whatever the hell it’s called anymore)? Do you like working for a living, and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the town?
THEN READ THIS LINK! Rob explains what it’s really like being a Squire or the newly implemented Serfs. It’s not fun, it’s not glorious, and it certainly isn’t interacting with your friends. It’s purely helping a content creator create content!
If any of the current squires would like to expand on this, and add their own thoughts or opinions, please feel free!
I don’t mind it, but my whole idea of playing is very skewed anyway. My whole idea was sit around, write books, talk to people. And while I can’t talk in game, I talk to my fellow squires.
Now, understand, I love the Lords. So this next part isn’t ranting. It’s to let y’all know what it’s like.
99 percent of the time is doing nothing. Or building stuff your Lord wants built. By this I mean, building alone. Without anyone near you. Not knowing if your stuff is even going to appear in a video, let alone if anyone knows who made it. Sometimes other squires are on, depending who’s squire you are. The other squires *might* visit you, but they might also be building. Yeah, you can talk to the other squires in raidcall, but…you can talk to your fellow peasants and rp in the city.
You aren’t the Lords’ friends. You exist if they need something from you. Otherwise you don’t exist. This seems to upset some people realizing they are disposable.
We are? They can get a million more people willing to be used and abused. You can die. You very likely will die. And between getting squired and dying, you might see your Lord only a handful of times and appear in a few videos. Maybe not at all, if your Lord never makes videos or makes them at weird times.
It’s drastically different than the city. City has rp, huge amounts of people, and if you interact with the Lords, it’ll be for about as much time as we do, only without the pressure of “oh god I might die or maybe they hate what I’ve built” or whatever else to worry about.
As said, I don’t mind this. I’ve talked about before a lot of my gaming already was “sit around and wait to do stuff and don’t mind being used/ignored” but a loooot of people seem to get concerned with the “ignored” part.
Without saying too much, my entire interaction for the last few weeks with any of the Lords was one, hearing Nisovin talk about Spydster’s serfs in the raidcall, and Rob asking me a question.
So….make sure you reaaaally wanna do it. Like…if you like building more than rp, freedom….oh yeah!
You can’t just build anything. You have a theme. You have some freedom, but like…I can’t just decide to go and build a massive castle for no reason, I’d have to make sure we needed a massive castle somewhere. Luckily, medieval times, that would be okay but…giant duckie somewhere? Not so okay.
Words. I’m sort of tired. Maybe I said stuff wrong. Hm hm. Uhm…stuff. Maybe I can think of stuff later.
I said this elsewhere, but I can say it in more detail.
Being a squire is different depending on who your lord is. As Spyd is new to Lord’s, he doesn’t know a lot of how stuff has worked before he joined, so I talk with him quite frequently about stuff he is thinkin of doing and how possible it is. We throw ideas back and forth and then he comes up with a cool video.
Other Lords usually know exactly what they want to make, they just need the squires to make it happen, and that’s where Rebekah’s side comes into play. So yes, a lot of time is spent hangin out with the other squires.
However, I am happy to trade the city events with being a squire, I get to make cool and funny things so that Spyd has the best videos possible, without him needing to plan too much. I also get to hang with other squires and do stupid stuff, and that’s also really enjoyable.
